Barbara’s is a unique furniture boutique located in historic Bardstown, KY. The beautiful two story shop invites you to personally select from an eclectic collection of home furnishings and gifts.
Barbara Mattingly and Harriett Ballard have been sharing their passion for design and home detail since 1985.
They are excited to guide you into making your house a beautiful HOME for you and your family. Their theory on design is to introduce new paint palettes while weaving new furnishings and accessories into your existing room settings. Barbara’s specializes in custom draperies, blinds, shutters, area rugs, wallcoverings and gorgeous light fixtures.
Growing up in Bardstown, Barbara and Harriet have a true respect for the traditional styling of their community. They are excited to share their transitional approach to design. They would love to consult with you for new construction, renovations and interior updates by providing you with the resources and expertise to “decorate your life.”
