My name is Patrick Beam and I’m from Washington County (even though I was born right here in Nelson County). Growing up 15 minutes away from Bardstown makes it kind of feel like a second home. I remember coming here all the time throughout my childhood. From grabbing a bite to eat, to go skating and bowling, and of course, to go to Walmart! Within my 30+ years, I have seen this town change and grow so much and I am now proud to be a part of its never-ending story. A little background on me: I’m the oldest of three younger brothers, so you can imagine that there was never a dull moment growing up, I have a passion for traveling and I’m always looking for new places to experience, and I have a bachelor’s in Marketing. I’ve been working in Bardstown for over seven years, and as each year passes, the more I fall in love with this community and its heritage. I have to say, I was NOT a fan of bourbon when I first started working in the community, but that quickly changed. Because that’s just what Bardstown does to you. It grows on you in so many different ways. This will be my 6th year serving on the Bardstown Main Street Board of Directors and I’m excited to see where this year takes us!
