My name is Amy Smith-Cissell. I was born and raised in Nelson County, with a fond love for Bardstown. Until 2016 the majority of my working career was dedicated to being a commuter to Louisville where I spent many years working in the Residential and Commercial design field. I always knew that I wanted to come back to my roots and develop a brand for myself and begin helping and giving back to a community that I loved. Thanks to Randi, the Chamber of Commerce, and many wonderful relationships I was finally able to bring my work closer to home and became involved in the Mainstreet Program as a Board Member. Eventually opening my own business, Amy D. Designs, I continued to find my place in the business community and became a Chamber of Commerce Board Member and have since been involved in Leadership Nelson County, Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation, and a founding member of BRIDGE Nelson County. I enjoy summertime, being at the lake and river with family and friends and just the outdoors in general, spending time with my two dogs and just living life with my husband, Eric. We love our life here, and I love my small town!
